In this early photograph from the shoot I was exploring all the different props I wanted in the photographs. This photograph was about making sure they all worked together and fitted within the allocated space.
On this photo I was trying out other poses with the eyes. On this photo what I like is the utter boredom on her face like she is bored with being made to feel like this is everything that causes her to be beautiful. However the intensity shown in the eyes on the other picture is what I decided to take forward.
On these developments from the original work I added a scalpel. I think it added more to the photograph and added validity to the photograph. Also the hand on the chin was another pose I added and really liked. However I though this picture she looked like she was not at all affected by what was going on and this photograph was meant to hold more intensity than some of the others.
On this photograph I really liked the face being a bit more zoomed out and the shape it bought into the photograph. However the faces pose was to happy and did not capture the longing for perfection that I wanted it too.
I was happy with how this photograph came out, it really capture a nice framing to the face and a more intense look. It would not be true to life if she acted like it was not painful. I wanted these photographs to show true emotion and I felt this photo did do this.
When developing my final pieces even further I decided ways in which I could make the cake even more prominent. I did this by making parts of the picture in colour. I originally just started with the cherry. I like how it draws the eyes to the cake more as before it was quite hard to identify. To keep the consistency I wanted to I had to decide on doing it to all the photos or just the one. I decided to try it with the hair developments. This gave consistency without it being on every photograph. Although I did experiment trying giving the make up photo lipstick to fit in the red pattern and go on to add it to the plastic surgery to but decided to only do it with two.
