Development Five

In early stages of this development i was looking at other ways of showing how media is controlling women. I chose to show it using my model being a puppet. Here are some tester shoots when initially exploring my work.
In this photograph I was just experimenting with some different poses. The arms worked really well in tis position and the white in the photographs bought out some really nice highlights. Although the black background contrasted the string well I think that it made the hair to hard to see.

This photograph really highlights the sort of puppet pose. Her arms as right angles and her head tilted meant  that she mimicked a real upper. I took the red tones out to smooth out the white and add a softer tone, this was just to explore more techniques.
This is one of my favourite pictures from the shoot. Her pose is really natural and the lighting shadowed her face and arm really nicely. The hands were a lovely distance from the camera and show she's almost reaching out. The face is really natural and the eyes are almost haunting.

This was one of my least liked pictures from the shoot. I don't think her arms are positioned well but the white contrasted really nicely on it. I have decided not to take this idea forward as although it shows how media is pup petting women its to predictable and not what I had visioned.
