Developments Three

In the second lots of developments I came around to me trying to do the same but for little girls. They are sold sexualised images which make them feel they should try and look older. To do this I used my Richardson photograph and work the words "I'm a Barbie girl in a Barbie world. Life as plastic its fantastic"I did this because girls are sold an image of Barbie as being the perfect girl which is not true to life. It is said that if barbie were real then she wouldn't even be able to stand up. So ironically I used the lyrics over a sexual image to communicate the idea of girls being told by the media its okay to want grow up a lot younger than you should and to be provocative. From here I want to explore how barbie have advertised and what they are selling little girls to be so inspired by.
