These photos were exploring a natural pose but to bring out things like her face, her contour is really obvious and highlights her bone structure to her face. I played with the Red and Yellow colours within the black and white stages to give the skin a softer skin tone, However I like how the eyes are almost haunting on the coloured version. I put an orange/brown layer on top just to bring the dark tones out on her face such as the rest but you do loose detail in the face. So I would like to work on bringing out those tones without loosing detail.
In this photograph I was concentrating on close ups. It bought out real details in her face. However to make it look more professional i also layer around with photoshop to make the skin a lot softer. However seeing where the lights were positioned in her eyes gives hem a glassy sort of look which is something a lot of fashion photographers use to draw people into the photograph.
These photographs were just exploring the lighting on her and exploring some techniques on photo shop to highlight and shadow parts of her. I like how the T-shirt is almost luminous. However in the one above it made her face to shadowed. To avoid this I lightened it and although I liked the background, it just came across more professional. I like the natural flow in her hair and how it is quite detailed even up to the little baby hair. I think this was good experimentation for the use of black and white.
In this photograph i wanted to use a more playful theme, using the ears automatically gives a really playful theme. It also brings some colour to the photograph. The facial tone is a lot more relaxed and this technique helped me learn to find a really good way of being more playful within this scheme of work. Again the eyes come out quite glassy and the highlights caught on her contour really bring out her bone structure. The t-shirt however washes her into the background and i think this is something i would have to change if i was to re shoot.
From this I had to channel my ideas into one single track to develop on. I will do this by researching photographers and finding the best ones to bring out themes I will then go on to explore.
